Welcome to the Insula Maledictus, the Cursed Island.

A young spring covenant was founded on the Calf of Man, just southwest of the Isle of Man in 1170 AD. The members of the Covenant soon realized that the place was quite spectacular; there were many who would like to have the island to theirselves, but the young magi did agree to buy it from the former hersir, Lord Haakon. Still... the magi have seen nothing yet.

Decades later, death has visited the island numerous times, but the story continues. During these years the magi have saved the Ireland, fought numerous enemies, had their Gifts stolen and retrieved, fought vile demons, bargained with bizarre faeries, made pacts with the nobles and tried to stay alive.

The Insula Maledictus is a covenant in the role-playing game Ars Magica.
