Dublin, November 1197 AD

Father Laurentius,
Parish Of The Calf Of Man On The Isle Of Man

My name is Father Bartolomaeus from the Church of St, Peter in Dublin. We almost met before the assassination attempt of the bishops Gregorius and Kenneth last August. It pains me to inform thee these sad news, but in the last days of October our respected and loved bishop, a pious servant of God, Kenneth of Dublin slept away. God took him back and left us a memory and a fine example of a spiritual leader.

From my conversations with Bishop Kenneth I learned that he valued thee and thy deeds on that windy rock of yours. I am most sure that he was very pleased that God directed thee to visit his council this summer. May the fact that the beautiful Cross of Gilchrist once again resides on the holy walls and brings comfort to our parish remind us all of God's good will on us. May this bring comfort also to thine sorrow.

Should there ever be a chance for thee to visit us again be reminded that Bishop Kenneth left something that he should have given thee. I keep that safe here in the church.

My blessings to thee, Father.

In nomine Patrii et Filii et Spiritus Sancti,

Father Bartholomaeus,
Church of St. Peter
West Gate Parish Of The City Of Dublin
