The Story of Lucas

Lucas studied grammar and languages in the university of Oxford. His reputation as a black sheep and diabolist made him leave his home, after he had been tried to kill. He lost an ear and got a big cut on his face in that fight, but escaped with his life. He traveled to Scotland to get away from his past. He has taught in a few schools, maybe the most significant being the cathedral school in Churchtown, where he learned some law and church lore as well.

His big size and disfigurement has lowered his self-esteem noticeably. The fear of worms derives from his day of banishment, when the cuts on his face and ear were infected and worms appeared in them. He has always been fond of books and languages, and would do anything to get his hands on them. After being treated like he has, Lucas now understands the worries and troubles of other people better, being able to understand, help and maybe sooth them in their pain.
