Knife of Returning

One of my future grogs, Neil, uses knives or daggers in hand-to-hand combat and throws them as well. Less stuff to carry around the easier it is to move silently. If you throw your weapons away, you might not have time or the opportunity to get them back. It would be nice, if they would come back by themselves. That's where magic comes along.

Effects

There's room for 100 levels of spells. A returning knife would be ReTe, level 5 Control or move dirt. Two magnitudes are added because it is metal which is being controlled. Basic range is Near, duration Concentration, target Small. Ordinary man can throw a knife farther than 15 meters, so range should be raised to Far.

Thieves often like to work in the cover of darkness. They have normal eyes though; being able to see better would probably be very valuable for them. Note that it's use is not constant; Range is not Personal either. This means the user of the dagger can use this power to other people as well.

Sometimes thieves have to climb to enter a building etc. A simple flying spell could ease this. It might also help the unlucky thief get away from unwanted attention faster or escape from the hands of the authority. So: ReCo (Rise of the Feathery Body) or ReAu (Wings of the Soaring Wind)? Both have their advantages. Elementalist such as Bearnard might go for the latter one, although he'd spend a few seasons with those new Rego & Auram books first.

Strike opponents -effect is copied from the Wizard's Grimoire. There's Krenos' Iron Spear (page 114), which is quite like a normal spear:

As we can see from the space and range -characteristics, the spear in question is not a shortspear, but a spear. Applying these modifiers to daggers or throwing daggers, we'll get the following weapons:

The dagger is quite easy to enchant, as almost all the effects take roughly one season to instill.
