Covenant council

The council of Insula Maledictus is divided into three groups of magi, in ascending order:

High Council

The high council consisted originally of the magi, who founded the covenant. Later, when Dughall died, it was decided, that at maximum three magi will hold the High council seats. They have two votes each in covenant's elections.
Current high council members are Bearnárd and Caligula.

Council

The council members are magi, who have been members of the covenant long enough to be granted the right to vote. Usually it requires many years of service.
Current council members are Absolon, Dikaios and Nathair.

Prospect members

These magi have not been long in the covenant, and the older magi have not seen enough good actions to give them the right to vote.
Current prospect members are Lago and Nerienda.

In spring of 1197 we divided some responsibilities for the council members, creating five positions for the magi to fulfill. We decided, that the posts would last for seven years, but in 1200 we would reconsider the position holders. In the council of 1198 we decided to unite the Treasurer and Steward into one position. Current positions - and their holders - are:

Ambassadeur

The Ambassadeur is responsible for trading, travelling, information and relations outside the covenant. He's the spokesman who spreads the world of our covenant.
Current Ambassadeur is Caligula ex Mercere.

Librarian

The Librarian takes care of covenant's books of arts, knowledges and spells. He makes sure they are kept in good condition and stored in the library, in proper way.
Current Librarian is Nathair ex Bonisagus.

Steward

The Steward takes care of the mundane tasks of the covenant, and collects and tracks the vis and magical equipment. It is his responsibility to look after covenant's buildings, property and maintennance.
Current Steward is Bearnárd ex Miscellanea.

War-leader

The War-leader is the co-ordinator of armed forces and defences in times of trouble. He leads the grogs through the custos.
Current War-leader is Absolon ex Flambeau.

Medicus

Medicus is in charge of the infirmary, the ill and the wounded. The post was taken care of by Caitlin, the mute woman who is the mother of Madog, until Dikaios joined Insula Maledictus.
